The Chief John Ross Numismatic Society is a North Georgia coin club that was formed during the Silver boom in 1967. It is named after John Ross, Principal Chief of the Cherokee from 1828 until his death in 1866. Chief John Ross was only one eighth Cherokee but was well respected by the Cherokee and the white man.

Members specialize in collecting many different areas from the state quarters, 20th century Indian Cents to silver dollars, large and small size US currency, Civil War currency, foreign coins, ancient coins. Get any question answered from what is it worth, is it genuine, why was it issued.

A new coin club has been formed that caters to young collectors, parents and begining collectors of all ages. The club is sponsored by the Chattanooga Coin Club and the Chief John Ross Numismatic Society. Read about the what, where and when and join us.
